Port site metastasis as a complication of thoracoscopic metastatectomy

Eur J Surg Oncol. 2001 Apr;27(3):327-8. doi: 10.1053/ejso.2000.1037.

Abstract

We report a case of port site recurrence after thoracoscopic resection of pulmonary metastasis from an adenocarcinoma of the rectum. This case stresses the importance of careful manipulation and concealed removal of malignant pulmonary lesions if the minimal invasive technique is applied.
