Abstract

Background: The NSW & ACT Hereditary Cancer Registers (HCR) offer registration to people from families at risk for hereditary cancer.

Objective: This article describes the Hereditary Cancer Registers and provides information to the treating health professional to register patients at risk of hereditary cancer to the HCR.

Discussion: The HCR collaborates with treating doctors and familial cancer clinics to play an important role in the management of people at risk of hereditary bowel cancer.
