Data analysis through modeling

Curr Protoc Cytom. 2001 May:Chapter 10:Unit 10.7. doi: 10.1002/0471142956.cy1007s01.

Abstract

Flow cytometers collect data in an attempt to understand some aspect of a biological system. Mathematical models are developed to extract relevant population features from the data, to help users attain their goals. This unit examines what models are and how they are routinely used.

Keywords: flow cytometry; listmode data; data analysis; modeling Flow cytometers collect data in an attempt to understand some aspect of a biological system.
