Curative radiotherapy for stage IV carcinoma of the penis

Med J Aust. 1986 Nov 3;145(9):474-5. doi: 10.5694/j.1326-5377.1986.tb113879.x.

Abstract

We report the case of a patient with locally-advanced penile cancer and metastatic inguinal adenopathy who has been cured by radiotherapy. In an era when chemotherapy is being advocated increasingly for the control of locally-advanced penile cancer, our surprisingly good result is a timely reminder that high-dose radiotherapy alone can be a worthwhile therapeutic option.
