Dehydration, rehydration and exercise in the heat: concluding remarks

Int J Sports Med. 1998 Jun:19 Suppl 2:S167-8. doi: 10.1055/s-2007-971988.

Abstract

The short papers collected together here provide a concise but comprehensive summary of the key issues relating to exercise in the heat. This Conference was the first major international meeting devoted solely to the physiological challenge of extreme exercise in the heat and the strategies that can be implemented to minimise the impact of heat and humidity on exercise performance. Each of the key issues was covered by a recognised expert in the field, and state of the art information summarised. These few concluding remarks highlight some of the major issues covered.
