Ophthalmol Clin North Am. 2002 Sep;15(3):357-64, vii. doi: 10.1016/s0896-1549(02)00032-9.

Abstract

Inflammation is a common occurrence after intraocular surgery. Prolonged postoperative inflammation may indicate an underlying condition, such as uveitis or infection. Awareness of diseases that may contribute to unexpected severe or prolonged postoperative inflammation is necessary for early diagnosis and precise treatment.
