Methods: Data related to drugs in development or under study were accessed following literature search via PubMed or author knowledge of publically available data.

Results: Several new compounds are recently approved or under study for epilepsy in children.

Conclusions: The following is a brief overview of the new and emerging medications for the treatment of pediatric epilepsy.

Keywords: Antisense oligonucleotide; Cannabidiol; Fenfluramine; Ganaxolone; OV935.
