Postoperative surgical complications

Abstract

Results of liver transplantation have dramatically improved since the introduction of cyclosporine. Most deaths occur within the first 3 postoperative months. Morbidity and mortality can be minimized by early diagnosis and aggressive management of postoperative surgical complications.
