The case of a young man with left intermittent claudication is reported. Initially, common left pelvic-type peripheral arterial occlusive disease is assumed. Angiographically, however, there is a high degree of fibromuscular dysplasia with a focal lesion in the left iliac flow area, directly at the origin of the internal iliac artery (IIA). After vessel preparation, a double-layer stent is implanted off-label to protect the IIA and to create peripheral embolic protection.
Es wird über einen jungen Mann mit Claudicatio intermittens links berichtet. Zunächst wird von einer gewöhnlichen PAVK (periphere arterielle Verschlusskrankheit) vom Beckentyp links ausgegangen. Angiographisch zeigt sich aber ein hochgradiger V. a. eine fibromuskuläre Dysplasie mit einer fokalen Läsion im linken iliakalen Stromgebiet, direkt am Abgang der A. iliaca interna (AII). Nach „vessel preparation“ erfolgt im „off label use“ die Implantation eines Double-layer-Stents zur Schonung der AII und zur Herstellung eines peripheren Embolieschutzes.
