Abstract

Extracorporeal CO₂ Removal in Respiratory FailureHeterogeneity among patients with a single diagnosis can mean that the headline result of a trial may obscure harms and benefits among subgroups. This study reports a retrospective analysis of a trial of extracorporeal carbon dioxide removal in respiratory failure testing for physiological determinants of the overall treatment effect.
